ABOUT MATWORK AT Physio Professionals
Our Matwork Pilates classes are a great way to introduce you to Pilates and build the necessary technique and foundations to get the most benefit from this exercise regime.
Using your own body weight, props and gravity for resistance, this class is flowing and continuous and follows a routine that is challenging, fun and allows you to move in all directions for a full body workout.

Matwork uses body weight and small props to create a challenge that is scalable for everybody.
Matwork is a valuable addition to an existing fitness regimen, or to even help you kickstart and transform your health, a great stand-alone exercise; creating lean muscle tone, improving mobility and flexibility, and strengthening the whole body from the inside out. It is also beneficial for improving pelvic floor functionality, reducing stress and enhances general wellbeing.
We offer Group, Semi-Private and private classes.

How it works
Classes are 45 minutes long. The Pilates method starts at the very beginning with Matwork Fundamentals. This allows you to build the skills and technique to get the most out of the routine, refine your practice, maximise satisfaction and help you see results – fast!
The ultimate whole body workout, scalable for everybody and all levels of fitness, with core stability skill , technique and strength built on over time for maximum benefit. .
HOW DO I START?
Book your Pilates assessment with our instructors and then join a class and get started straight away.
Your assessment will include a Pilates health screen and an introduction to the exercises.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
All you need to bring to class is grip socks (compulsory in all formats for hygiene reasons); water to sip on, full sized towel and comfortable exercise clothes. Grip socks are available for purchase on site.
